You could always hear Captain Kevin (K-Rock) Llorente saying, “Life couldn’t be better.” Sadly, Kevin lost his life in a tragic accident on July 31, 2006. Kevin was one of South Florida's best known and most well respected captains. He loved his profession and took great pride in helping others along the way. Not only was Kevin an inspirational individual, but he influenced people through the examples he set. His constant positive outlook and his passion for this sport were contagious. Kevin taught everybody the difference between making a living and making a life, to make the most out of everything, and to truly live each day as if it were the last. This tournament is the brainchild of many people who Kevin touched during his life that could think of no better way to honor him than to host a tournament for the sport he loved. In addition to his love for and excellence in his profession, Kevin was well known for helping others; especially, those in need. Therefore, the K-Rock Klassic will benefit The Whole in the Wall Foundation, a cause that Captain Kevin held very dear. This commemorating event is dedicated to supporting and encouraging others, honoring Kevin’s legacy, his vision, generosity and his unforgettable leadership. By participating in this event, we can all continue to make a difference, as he did.
